Veralynn began her education at the University of Maryland before graduating from Mount St. Mary's University. She quickly made her mark in the realms of insurance, employee benefits, and estate planning. By 1992, she and her colleagues expanded their expertise to incorporate valuable insurance and investment vehicles, further enhancing their advisory capabilities. Taking the reins as President of Potomac Asset Management Group, Veralynn sought the best for her clients, later partnering with Capital Portfolio Management as her Broker-Dealer to offer diverse investment options. Her dedication to maintaining a fiduciary standard was solidified when she became an Investment Adviser Representative. To further enhance her practice, Veralynn joined AdvisorNet Wealth Partners as her Registered Investment Adviser, allowing her to offer comprehensive financial planning and cohesive solutions that integrate multiple aspects of her clients’ financial needs. Veralynn’s commitment to providing exceptional and innovative strategies led her to establish Peak Portfolio Management, a continuation of her vision and dedication to her client’s success. Veralynn believes in strategy when offering advice, understanding that no single advisor can have a lock on all good ideas. She offers comprehensive financial planning to tie together each aspect of her clients' plans, providing cohesive solutions that integrate more than one aspect of their financial needs. She offers professionally managed portfolios through Portfolio Partners and support from a robust compliance and operations department, along with her Certified Financial Planners (CFP®) through Peak’s affiliation with AdvisorNet Wealth Partners.
Additionally, Veralynn collaborates with independent estate planning attorneys and CPAs to round out her clients' plans. All in all, she is a problem solver, offering tailored solutions to meet her clients' unique needs.
